Privacy Policy
Last updated 11 October 2026
Fence Visualiser is a visualisation tool used by fencing companies and their customers. This policy explains what we collect, why, and who it is shared with.
Who we are
Fence Visualiser is the data controller for information collected through this tool. You can reach us at james@dunbizdigital.com.
What we collect
- The photograph you upload of a property, and the images we generate from it.
- Contact and enquiry details you choose to submit: your name, phone number or email address, address, postcode, and any notes.
- For fencing companies with an account: your email address and company details, and, if you sign in with Google, the name and email address Google shares with us. We do not receive your Google password.
- A one-way hash of your IP address. We use this only to limit abuse of the service. We do not store your IP address itself, and the hash cannot be reversed to recover it.
We do not use cookies for advertising or tracking. Companies signing in to their own account have a session cookie, which is necessary for the service to work.
Why we use it
To produce the visualisation you asked for, and — if you submit the enquiry form — to pass your details to the fencing company whose page you were using, so they can respond to you. Our lawful basis is your consent, given when you upload a photo and when you submit the form. You can withdraw it at any time by contacting us.
Who we share it with
- The fencing company whose branded page you used. They see your enquiry, your photograph and the fences you viewed. They cannot see the records of any other company.
- Google. Your photograph is sent to the Google Gemini API to produce the visualisation. Google processes it to return the image and, under its paid API terms, does not use it to train its models.
- Supabase and Vercel, who host our database, file storage and application as our processors.
- Resend, who send account emails such as sign-up confirmations and password resets on our behalf, from servers in Ireland.
We do not sell your data or share it with anyone else.
Where it is stored
In the United Kingdom (Supabase, London region). Photographs are held in private storage and are only accessible through short-lived signed links.
How long we keep it
Enquiries and their images are kept for as long as the company holds an account with us, so they can look up work they quoted for. Visualisations that are never submitted with an enquiry are deleted within 90 days. You can ask us to delete your data sooner at any time.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to access, correct, delete or receive a copy of your data, and to object to or restrict how we use it. Contact james@dunbizdigital.com and we will respond within one month. If you are unhappy with our response you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date above and, where the change is significant, tell affected companies directly.
